Track Spotlight: Razihel, “Renzokuken”

Looking for electronic music? Monstercat is the place to be. If glitch-hop, DnB, dubstep, and/or progressive house is your jam, you owe it to yourself to check out their monster (haha) compilations. It’s thanks to them I discovered Razihel (one of my favorite electronic artists on the scene right now), and thanks to them I heard his latest track, dropped just yesterday.

“Renzokuken” isn’t as intense as you’d expect from a track named after a combo from Final Fantasy VIII. Rather, it has a broader, more symphonic palette than most of what I’ve yet heard from Razihel: a yeanring lead melody with synth strings on the intro and an atmospheric acoustic bridge. Great stuff either way though, highly recommended.

Thanks! Yeah, Evil Friends is really solid record. Listening to Too Far to Feel just now – hope y’all make it to my neck of the woods (as in Omaha) sometime!

      • Too kind – by all means, please feel free to send along any feedback. We hope you enjoy it!

We’re adding Omaha to the list…toying with the idea of doing some touring next fall/winter. Keep in touch and let us know what you think about that record!
